Bethany will be participating in the 40 Days of Community in early 2008. A few years ago we participated in the 40 Days of Purpose program which asked the question, “What on earth am I here for?” We are now preparing to take part in the sequel program called 40 Days of Community. It asks the question, “What on earth are we here for?”
40 Days of Community has several features that set it apart from the 40 Days of Purpose program. These are changes from the last campaign and innovations for this new one that will be offering age appropriate materials for every member of the family. There is power in having everyone in the family learning about the same biblical truths together. We will have a daily devotional book, daily journal and a weekly small group study guide, all in one book that will be a campaign companion for all participants. A mission project team will identify local outreach opportunities for our small groups to do together.

Is Bethany interested in searching and applying for grants to help out the Seacoast Area? I worked for Public Health for many years and was involved in many activities relating to the scoring, writing and implementatiion of grants. The project would certainly be extended well beyond Easter. Let me know if Bethany is interested in such a project.
