Grow A Row
In the Eagle Tribune 4/21/08 there is an article about a movement going on in the North Country. The purpose is to offer fresh veggies to the Food Pantries and it is called "Grow A Row" . Mary Lou Huffling Director of the Fall Mountain Food Pantry is asking farmers to grow one extra row of vegetables and donate them to a food pantry. All you gardners out there might think about continuing Feed the Need and consider growing a row of veggies for the Seacoast Food Pantries.

Hello Bethany Church!

My name is Matt Proulx and I am an Area Volunteer Coordinator for Heifer International in the North Dakota/Minnesota region. Last year I was an education volunteer at Overlook Farm working with groups just like yours. I came across your Web site while searching for Heifer articles and I just wanted to wish your group the best on your field trip to Overlook Farm! It was truly a blessing to have had the opportunity to work at Overlook and I can't say enough great stuff about it. Keep an open mind and come ready to learn and you will have a great time! Take care and all my best to you on your field trip.

-Matt Proulx

P.S. Say hi to Abu-Dahbi for me...you will know him when you see him :)

Dear Martha,
Our small group is looking for a project within the church. I saw the project list and would like to know what would be most helpful. We would like to have an ongoing profect as a group.
Sincerely,
Jean Whitcomb

Is Bethany interested in searching and applying for grants to help out the Seacoast Area? I worked for Public Health for many years and was involved in many activities relating to the scoring, writing and implementatiion of grants. The project would certainly be extended well beyond Easter. Let me know if Bethany is interested in such a project.

Bethany,
We are unable to join a small group at this time with Matt being in the military and having 4 kids that go to schools in 2 different states! But we want to help. We have a large Dodge Ram Pick-up (extended bed) with a cap on it. We would love to be able to offer our assistance in moving the food if need be. We live in Newmarket and Matt works on base at Pease and can be flexible with his day schedule. Please let us know if we can help: 603-659-5302. God Bless!

I hit submit anyway hoping they will just contact me and we will see if the time works out?
We want to be involved.

Thanks for your question Denise. I am sure that others are wondering the same thing.

When someone selects your group in the Small Group Finder, you will receive an email with the contact information for that person. If, for any reason, you need more information or do not receive an email, please contact Pat Fuller at 431-3646 x14 and she will be happy to assist you.

Keep the questions and comments coming everyone!
